Exclamation hoods struts

Can anyone tell me if the MrT or CDC hood struts work ok with the Shelby GT500 hood? Thanks!

After looking at some of the GT500's at the car show today it appears that the hood hinges are the same which makes me think they'd work. You can always order them and if they don't work just return them.

Steeda makes nice ones too for the GT 500 that have stainless brackets and require no drilling.

I'm confused.... I go to Redline's website and it shows a pic of the red GT500. Then when you click on 2005+ Mustang, a different design on the gun-metal Mustang is shown. I contacted Redline about two months ago, asking if both designs are available. I was told the GT500 "design" was not yet released. But it appears Chris' car has these!!

Chris, how long ago did you get yours?

I put the older GT type redlines on my GT500 and they fit just fine.

I have had mine since November the 9th. All that is different is the lower mounting piece that goes on the strut itself. The positioning is way different than on an '05+ mustang. With the later set up, the bottom of the strut is much closer to the firewall, instead of way out forward. Call Redline on the phone, they should be able to help you get the better fitting setup now.
