Just wondering if anyone had heard how the '08 Shelby will differ from the '07. I heard '08s get HID headlights. Any other equipment additions, like the power passenger seat & heated seats from the '07 GT - stuff like that...?

 

Dont know why they would change much if anything they usually dont bother to do any major changes after just one year, but a diet would be nice and nicer, folding mirrors would be sick.

 

It would seem that since the 08 GT will be getting the 5.0 Hurricane engine as least as an option, there'd be some surprises coming for the Shelby as well. Maybe not in 08, but in 09.

 

The seats will be automatically heated by the new Shelby 41st Anniversary Embroiled Emblem sensor. It is rumored to be activated by the driver's rear pockets, or somewhere in between.

 

what are they talking about for output of the new 5.0? will it be competitive with the himi and ls? say close to 400/425?

 

i don't think the hurricane was going to be offered in that small of displacment... unless there was some later news that i havn't seen.

The only 5.0L engine I've heard anything about that Ford might be working on an engine for their FWD/AWD cars, and then, they are only rumors, and nobody knows what engine architecture they are based on.

And since the Hurricane engine series is being released first in the 2009 F-series, I don't see how there could be one available by this time next year for the 08's. Ford just doesn't work that fast, I hope I'm wrong though..

 

There will be a new option where you select whether you would like a tub of vaseline or a tube of KY!
