It's good to hear that Ford is discouraging price gouging.

According to the article i read about the upped production, the GT500 will be promoted as the only 500hp car under $50K.
okay, its from Autoblog:
http://www.autoblog.com/2006/05/09/9...-will-be-made/
"While Ford will wait until the last week of May to announce MSRP for the coupe and convertible, the GT500's marketing manager reportedly said it will be the only 500+ horsepower car in the world available for under $50,000."

In fact, Early on when calling SVT, they were saying up to 13k. IF the suppliers can provide enough parts, Ford could stand to make the extra money. They always under predict and over produce (MAch 1 is a good example).

Ford could build 25K and sell them, although that would not go down too good with the dealers and those selling their Power leases.
