Interesting to say the least. I'll be keeping an eye on this just to see how Ford handles.

I am curious as to where the car winds up.

Take notice on how accommodating this dealer is:

Shipping:
Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.
Vehicle shipping quote is available.

Sells to:
United States, Australia, Asia, Canada, Europe, Mexico

I wonder why the Middle East was not included?

If Ford agreed to repurchase vehicle then disclosure of that may be a state to state thing, but that only has to be disclosed at the time of purchase. It has not sold yet.
While I feel for the guy being unhappy about his new purchase, he really got a deal from the get-go. The 5K was paid to an individual for his power lease (no recourse) then was able to buy this car at MSRP when all over the country these have been selling for about 20K over. So he's 15K ahead and he gets his money back. I'd have to see the car, but does not sound like the problems would keep someone else from enjoying it.

Or maybe he just figured out he could have posted it on eBay himself and recouped all his money plus .

Someone pays another person 5 grand for the privaledge of then paying a dealer the "fool" retail price. Unbelievable!

How could anyone be that financially ignorant or was he so intoxicated with enthusiam that he was unble to think rationally.

Its dealers like this, who give my profession a bad reputation and name!! This is just downright disgusting. . Whenever Ford buys back a vehicle, they take it back, and Ford themselves auctions off the vehcle WITH disclosure it was a buyback. At least at that auction, the bidders know it is what it is. This is just sad.

BTW, did anyone send the seller a question, asking why they are selling a "Ford Buyback" vehicle? It would be interesting to see the reply.

I don't think that I'll ever pay over MSRP for anyting. I remember when the 05s first came out, in late 04, dealers in the Pittsburgh area was asking 4-6K over MSRP. Notice that I waited a few years and finally got it dealer invoice- nearly a 10k difference for a three year newer car . Patience is a virture... Although, it looks like Ford is limiting production so at least the GT500s should hold their value... supply and demand, but still not for me...

I am still confused why people are paying more then MSRP for this thing in the first place. Granted its a great car, but its not worth a penny more then MSRP. You can take a Mustang GT and make it into a better car for less money.

You can, but it will never be a Shelby GT500. And what will sell for more at Barrett Jackson? A modified Mustang GT or a Shelby GT500? You know the answer, I don't have to say it.

I am fairly shocked to see and hear this post. I don't know for sure if this is the situation, but some people are just complete whiners. Perhaps this guy is just an **** pain in the butt. Why/how could a $50,000 car make it out of the factory with as many defects as he is claiming? I have to believe that the Shelbys are policed even more than the rest and no one on this board has complained of 1/2 the defects this guy is claiming.

It just doesn't seem to add up.

You actually saw the photo's right? They guy has ordered FOUR (thats 4, for those who didn't read the thread), of these cars and is obviously a fan. I suggest you READ the thread and his posts and then let us know what you found out.

And yes, in the thread many of us asked the seller the state of the car and recieved a form response. That to is in the thread.

The plot is getting thicker.

The former happy owner has contacted the previously elated ebay winning bidder who is now slightly upset and apparently will not buy the car. Then for the icing on the cake, the dealer is now posting on the thread.

SVT Performance should consider putting this thread on pay per view.
