I can't wait for the backend of the production run - when the dealers are desperate for sales because Shelbys are sitting on their lots...because nobody wants to pay four bucks a gallon for a car that only sips premium fuel and gets an average of 15 miles per gallon.

If it was within 8hrs drive of me I'd go pick it up in a heartbeat. Around her in Northern VA I might see that next year.

I was online today trying to price them for this area and found a dealer that has one coming in at the end of this month (no idea what the specifications on it are) that is unclaimed as well as an open allocation that I was told I could use to order what I wanted. Unfortunately they didnt disclose pricing so it may be as bad as all the others, but if you are in this area (Huntington) it may be a place to check out.

I wish it was that price. For my B-Day, I might be getting $2000 in my own bank account. If I behave, im not really doing a good job.

I drove all the way to Hurricane to pick up my Evo. I have family that lives all around there so Huntington is do able. Only problem I have is I want the Red/White stripes. Seems so far that Blue is more popular and Grey.

They didnt give me a price so I dont know how 'reasonable' they will be. When I got me GT I went through Turnpike Huntington (there are others), and the guys there got me x-plan when everyone else was still asking for ADM. Unfortunately they dealership has changed hands now (sold to the owners brother I think) and their price was for 8000 over MSRP on the one they had already sold.
Beford is the one that told me they have one in stock and one available to be configured as you would like (didnt say what the allocation date was however, nor did they say what their pricing would be).

I'm not trying to promote either of these dealers, they are just the only ones that responded with anything from my inquiry.

As I replied to the guy above, Beford 'says' they have an allocation that hasnt been configured yet so you may be able to get exactly what you want from them. Again, I didnt get any pricing from them so they may be one of the ones wanting that 10-15 thousand over MSRP, and they may not.
