buyer beware. there was a very nice blue GT500 in my area. i ran an autocheck and it showed the GT500 had accident data. not sure if it was a small fender bender or something major because the seller didnt reply. i had a 03 Cobra and sold it for an M3. now i want to come back to cobras and are looking at gt500's . All the used GT500s in SoCal are still $40k plus right now from private owners which is how much they are at the dealerships new. There are some for sale from private owners in the $55k range also, which Im sure are ppl that paid the major fees for the first GT500's to come through and are killing themselves now.

I may be retarded, but I am completely happy with paying 49K for mine brand new in March. My wife and I drive it daily, race it on weekends and some week nights, it sits outside in the FL weather until we can find a house. We didn't buy it for an investment, we purchased it to have fun with and enjoy the experience. So far it has been better than we expected. Even if it was worth less than our GT I would still love it becuase I have always wanted a Cobra, especially a factory supercharged one. We live in Tampa and there is a white/blue 500 for sale at a local Ford dealer that has 400 miles on it and they are asking 45K, I am pretty sure they would take under 40K if seller could buy. They are expecting a KR this week and the silly sales lady told me they are gonna ask 113K or above for it. Crazy.....
Same lady thinks the Shelby GT is far more valuable than a 500.

If I only had the cash
Found this on craigslist. Says all serious offers above $33k considered.

As far as Shelby's are concerned I do think the Shelby GT will be worth more money in the long run

Might be worth waiting a little while longer...

I just might have a deal on a slightly used triple black 'vert!
Yeah I wish!

Boy, if those pictures are truly close to what the 2010 Mustang is going to look like, I am **** glad I got my 2008 Mustangs. I hope this isn't an indicator of another 40+ year body style drought for the Mustang...
#34
But okay... then the 05 models will be worth even more!
History repeats itself.

It doesn't look much different than what we have. The basic body style is the same with some minor angle changes.
I've been following the development of the Mustangs for years. Every time something new comes out, there are a bunch of people that give it the thumbs down only to later love the look.

Exactly, I was one of those guys who didn't like the 1999 when it came out, but ended up buying a 2001 Bullitt. My initial reaction to the 2010 Shelby is a little tepid, but I'll try to reserve judgement until the thing is released and fully inspectable

Not fully. But with the direction they are going, I just don't like it. I will embrace it, as by heart I support all Mustangs, but I just don't see myself liking this car. At least not so much, that I would buy one over the 2005 model!
