Just for kicks I went to autotrader.com and searched for used gt500's under $40,000 and few came up. I even saw a few that were under $30,000 and had less that 4,000 miles. Are Shelby's really affordable now? These prices are in Terminater range now...anyone confirm?

This might be a good time to upgrade to a Mustang GT before the GT500 prices sink any lower.

If it's too good to be true, then it is. I wouldn't expect to see a GT500 for that price unless it had a salvage title.

i think that the 28,000 dollar gt500 is probably legit. Sometimes sellers on autotrader need to move a vehicle quickly for personal reasons.

A Team Shelby member just sold one for $35,000 with 7,000 miles and lots of upgrades. Divorce sale.

I traded mine a month ago for $40K and $41K with 8K miles and 5,700 miles. $28K? Anything is possible but not likely. In that price range perhaps with a salvaged title or major issue but not in mint condition.

BTW, $21,300 was the exact amount I agreed on a trade for my wife's '06 Mustang GT vert with 17,500 miles which was in mint condition before it was damaged.

Chances are they are still in business, they just probably moved shop to try it another day. These basement bargain prices have scam is written all over them.

I have been looking on autotrader, ebay, and on team Shelby (several of their members have sold their GT500's for very fair prices). I did find several typos on autotrader.com. I saw one for 38k, called to inquire, and was told it was a typo and was suppose to be 48k and the dealer was in the process of editing the ad.

I have found several in the $40k-44k range. Once the house is done I'll be looking for one in that price range........maybe even lower. I spoke to the dealer that I bought by GT from and he said he will order an 09 GT500 for 1k under sticker........It was tempting, but we have way too much going on right now. Makes me think the prices are really gonna start coming down.
