Can anyone order me a 2008 Shelby at MSRP?

I want to buy a 2008 GT 500, but won't pay over MSRP. If anyone here can order me one for MSRP, please PM me. Or if you know a contact that can do it for me, let me know.

I live in southwest MO, so the closer the better.

Your going to have to hang in there for some time as that just isn't happening because of the supply demand problems...

Go to the Shelby forum and check out the what did you pay post of mine and it will give you an idea of what they are currently selling for.

Can any one confirm a 2009 GT500 model year run yet? I saw a post, but can't find it. My hopes of getting a 2008 at MSRP are dwindling, my new hope is to get a 2009 at MSRP

I think you are going to see it sooner than later. The ebay sales are minimal. Some are going for 7 over. Most are not selling at all. When the 2008s start hitting the lots, the 07s will get a little looser. Once the 07s are selling for sticker, the 08s wil follow. Hang in there, it is coming.

Supply is catching up with demand, hence the trend of a few months ago of dealers buying GT500s from other dealers at a premium seems to have disppeared. That is one of the reasons why prices are leveling off.

Remember this happened with the T-Birds, in the end they couldn't give em away without heavy discounts. Watch e-bay, the pricing is trending down, but unless your connected to a dealer, most of us would still have to pay way over MSRP right now. I have heard there is a model run in 09 also. These are high dollar cars and eventually they will do what the SGT is doing. The market will be flooded, people will get tired of high insurance costs, gas going up, diviorces and god knows what else causes us to sell, but they will come down. I just can't see an over the MSRP purchase for me, but for those who have the cash, it obviously makes sense.

Just my thoughts, GG

I went to a dealer recently that wanted 20k over. I told him no thanks and left. Since then he has called me three more times. Each time lowering his price. He is down to just under 10k now. However this is for 07's sitting in his showroom. I'm going to wait for MSRP on an 08.

we've got a red with white stripe hardtop at our dealership. ive been trying to talk the gm into letting me sell it for msrp, and so far, he has hinted to 5k over. so far, thats a pretty good price. but i agree that as we get our 08's in, the price should start going down. btw, we have a white 08 hardtop with navigation ordered. i think he did that for the low prod. number of navigation equipped.

Here is a good indicator. At Manheim auto auction for dealers only they have sold 13 Shelby GT500 coupes in the past few weeks. High was 54,900 low 49,500 the average price was 51,829 with 1,702 miles on it. Now add about $500. to these prices for shipping and auction fees and that is what dealers are paying right now to get these cars. These numbers are down from February when I started watching them. They are down by about 5K. I would say they are settling down but don't expect to see the bottom fall out of these. I suspect your best chance is an 07 around Oct 07-Feb 08 in an area that has snow.
