I was just so happy the car was still on the lot & I could get it! Wasn't thinking about other stuff. My dad asked about the 1st key & they said not their prob cause he just turned in 1 key. I'm pretty sure dad told me this, didn't really think anything of it. It wasn't til maybe a week later it hit me. I've called & e-mailed them about buying it, they won't. I spent about $35,000 of the car, they wouldn't throw me in that $120 key. Why I am through using them. I guess they never knew the key they had wasn't the master key? It's over now, really don't put much into that anymore. Yeah, I need that thought going to crap way more important than the $149.93 I spent.

I'd go have a chat with their sales manager in person and tell them you're not satisfied. They should provide two keys with the sale, especially if they're billing it as "pre-owned" or certified. That's BS. If you walk away and do nothing, then that's your fault.

Sure is hard for me with no memory of any kind to keep up!!!

Yeah, tons of hey should have & I should have! It's over though. I'm OK in keeping this going, life's too short to worry about this issue that is over with. Sorry, my coma taught me to pick the battles I can win. Thanks!!

Oh yeah, this lot is like 2 hrs south of me. I can't just pop in. I don't need to drive in that DFW traffic, too. It's done.

Lesson learned.

I bought a used Bronco off a lot a couple of years ago and they said it only had 1 set of keys. Well it was 14 years old. After about a week I got a package and the dealer 90 miles from me, sent me the other set they found and it included the keyless entry fob. I was very happy to say the least. They could have easily kept it, or used it for another 90's Ford truck or something. Cool thing is it works!

I hate knowing the idea that somebody out there still has a key to my car. He's a big-time Dallas lawyer, they say. Not sure why he would keep it? Feel better knowing he can buy whatever he wants, that he won't come & get my '11.

Maybe a deal like that will happen with me? See ya!!

What dealership down here was it? They should at the very least contact the previous owner and see if he can send the other key.

On another note, what is this Master key business? I haven't heard anything about it.

Grapevine Ford. You'd think they'd require it back. Guess not. My aunt worked for where you get your plates. I will see what she can find out.

The salesman that actually sold you your car could have done a little leg work and tried to get it for you. That's what I would have done. That would have probably gotten you to come back in the future. As it is now, you'll go elsewhere for your future business and rightfully so.

Exactly what I would have done if I was the seller! Yep I'll never recommend or go back. Not that that means much, though.
