X-plan in Canada... Worth trying to get it set up before my car comes in?

What is the experience that my fellow Canadian owners have received with the xplan? I am debating getting it set up but it seems like a lot of hassle to buy stocks etc...

I have xplan cos i work for a company who is a Ford Partner. it's basically about 5% off the MSRP and then deduct any incentive off the xplan price again. its pretty easy to set it up.

I got a MCA membership to get an X-Plan pin with it. I used the pin at the dealer and he was willing to accept it, but since it was late for the 2012 models, I managed to get them down just over $500 below that. I think if you're going for a 2012 you should be able to get a better deal, 2013's X-Plan is probably a good thing. I think having the X-Plan pin also help me in negotiating because it effectively lowered the starting price of the car and it showed them I wasn't walking off the street with no knowledge of what to pay. I would still get the X-Plan pin if I did it all again.
If you want to do X-Plan I wouldn’t use shares. Sign up for a MCA membership then use that to get the X-Plan. It was not a hassle at all for me.

Hope that helps
