Which would be better on my 3.7?

Other magma flow cat back exhaust system or Roush axle back with bbk long tube headers and catted x pipe? Which will sound better? Give more power gain? Miles to the gallon?

Those pretty much cancel each other out in terms of mods. Which do you want more?

This isn't like the days of old, the stock mufflers and axle-backs on these Mustang's aren't restrictive and power robbing, therefore any axle-back system is only going to gain sound, not performance.

To get the use of a full exhaust sytem (end-to-end with long tubes, catted x-pipe, plus axle-back) you're going to need a custom Tune, which in itself will add power and reduce your mpg a little, all while eating up about $2000 for all the parts and tune, let alone make the car much louder.

So nicholasP, you've stated in other threads that you couldn't make the car louder for some reason, parents I'm guessing, so why do you keep posting these threads about exhaust?

To be honest, if you want performance without affecting anything visibly or audibly on the car, change the gears in your 3.7L V6 Mustang. The stock 2.73's are the biggest performance robber of all in the V6.

lol "magna flow" zing

OP, tunes + gears + intake.. quick mods that will increase performance without making it too loud

That Roush set up is super loud and sounds horrible (imo)

if you add more hp you will have to push the pedal less to get going?? So you will use less gas??

Magnaflow! Of coarse I'm biased because that's what I have .. Never heard anything other then Magnaflow on our 3.7's (in person anyway) so I guess I can't really judge.. But you wouldn't see much power gains with exhaust. Stock system flows well. And Headers just aren't necessary, unless your supercharged. Just a waste of money IMO. Put that money elsewhere!

To make that more power your using more gas to keep the right air fuel ratio

Except usually power is gained mostly at the top end of the rpm.
