Winter tires for 2011 GT w/Brembo Package
Winter tires for 2011 GT w/Brembo Package
Will the following tires and wheels work altogether on a 2011 GT equipped with the Brembo Package?
2010 MUSTANG SVT WHEEL (M-1007-DC1895)
18" x 9.5" wide

Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D (Performance Winter/Snow)
Size: 255/45R18

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much!

From what I've read, the DC1895 (from the 2010 SVT) will fit over the Brembos.
But I'm interested to see if anybody has any actual real experience with it.
I need winter wheels/tires myself and am not a good source of info.
You may want to try a skinnier tire. Which would allow a taller side wall.
235/50/18's would work and offer you a better compromise.
Personally I've used Michellin x-ice xi2's. I found it to work really well, and would totally recommend.
The other common tire used on the stang is the Blizzak lm-60 by Bridgestone.
I'm not up on the Dunlop tires but judging by the tire pattern- it looks pretty legit.

I'd look for a set of Blizzak's personally. I've owned two sets and had great luck with them.
+1 on a skinnier tire though, which will be less prone to slippage on packed snow/ice. I'm looking at those wheels for my winter set as well.
