Window Sticker site(s) now restricted?

It appears that the window sticker sites may now be restricted. Thanks Ford for the service while it lasted.

This is the message that now appears... anyone have info on the situation.

Required parameter 'hash' was not provided. This parameter is required and is used to prevent unauthorized scraping of large amounts of data in violation of the terms of use of this website and its services. Please contact Ford directly if you feel you need bulk access to this type of data.

Uh oh... I guess pulling down every VIN for the Mustang was a bad idea. . .

But if all they're looking for is a hash, it can't be that hard to figure out. But think about all the dealer sites that are going to break because of this. LOL!

They mess with them all the time for some reason.

The one I use now I just got from a dealer website that uses it to post their window stickers for customer viewing. Since I got it, it has not been disabled.

http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webvie...cker.aspx?vin=

Add VIN to the end of it.

My local dealer's "new inventory" page, where it shows their vehicles, window stickers, and VIN, is no longer available.

Is it related?

Sadly so.... because Ford CS is largely useless and the dealers are even worse. What makes matters even worse is that the information IS available. But employees are either ignorant or lazy or quite possibly, told by Ford NOT to give out the information.

I'll never order another new Ford again. (Answering the question of, "Once you get your car and drive it you'll forget about the delays.") It was just an utterly miserable experience. I love the car. But the experience sucked.

I have to go to my Ford Stalkers Anonymous meeting now. . .

That actually seems to happen quite a bit. I saved both links on my computer, but I have seen both of them go down for a day or two as well.

They are probably just throwing up roadblocks for the 'bots that some people seem to have created to harvest information from the website.

How long does it take from the time you get the VIN until you actually can pull a window sticker?

I got my Vin on 7-22 and got my window sticker today 8-19. Most have said that the window sticker shows up about 5 to 10 days prior to the build date. Mine is scheduled for a 8-25 build.

Just curious - is there a certain time of the week that Ford updates its database of window stickers? Like how it pulls VINs Thursday nights/Friday mornings?
