Window issue when opening door.
Window issue when opening door.
I recently bought a 2010 Mustang GT and the day I bought it, I noticed when I try to open the driver side door the window takes a little bit to go down. It work perfectly on the passenger side. It’s like a delay in the window going down to be able to open the door. Can someone please help????
I saw your post on the other forum and understand you already tried the reset procedure.
I think I would try a little silicone spray lubricant on the channels and the edge wiper next, just to make sure it is not sticking, always looking for the easy fix first . . . then check the rails and motor like he said ^^^

I get you can just hold the handle for a second and the window will go down, but when other people drive it they just rip the door open and it makes me cringe. I also would like to sell it one day and upgrade to a 5.0 and I don’t want that problem to be a way for someone to lowball me.
yes all around the edge where the window contacts the rails and the wiper along the top edge of the door
if you have tinted windows it might be a good idea to test it in an inconspicuous area first, just in case the silicone discolors the tint . . . I don't think it will be a problem because I have tinted windows and have used silicone on mine with no issues, but you never know
this might not solve the issue but I think it's worth a shot before you take the door apart

I don’t hear any noise. But when I roll the windows up, the driver side takes half a second slower to go up. So for sure the motor?
probably since they are practically the same car, but I don't know because I haven't done it . . . one of the other guys might know
is the process of taking out the rails/motor the same as the the 2005-2009 models?
Ordered the silicone lubricant. Going to try that before I take the tracks and motor out. Which isn’t a big deal since I’m about to have the door panels off to swap the factory speakers anyway.

Be sure to put an old blanket under the door. When I changed my door speakers, the panel dropped fast. Just a heads up.....
