I really want a new Lightning and SVT Fusion, both with AWD or at least AWD as an option. Oh and how about this, an SVT Explorer! Take the current Explorer, tweak the suspension and slap in a Terminator 4.6. My big thing is i'd love to have an SVT as a daily driver but if you live in a region with a lot of snow your kinda handcuffed to what you can have as an everyday car.

I'd love for Ford to have a high end moniker
1st choice would obviously be SVT.... they had 10 years of vehicles

But even FPV wouldn't be bad either...

Kill SVT for a few years and focus on building a "tuner/performance" division for Lincoln. Luxury car owners are more willing to pay extra bucks for performance upgrades. Just look at AMG and BMW M! My .02

I don't think Ford ever had problems selling Cobras or Lighnings! I agree that Lincoln should have a high end divison as well, why not "SVT" for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury. Chysler does it with their cars with the "SRT" divison and know what it means. They have SRT models in Chysler,Dodge and Jeep models.

I don't agree on killing SVT whatsoever.. Why should only those who can afford luxury priced Lincoln's, have the privilege of getting performance upgrades..While the rest of us, are left hung out to dry !

I think Ford should work with or even sub-out SVT vehicals to one of the Ford tuner brands if development time is the issue. Give Steeda, Roush, Saleen, Yates... some development mules like F-150s, Explorers, Fusions, Focus, Mustangs. Let them hop-up the engines, tune the suspension then give them back to Ford's design studio to give them destinctive SVT styling cues (round fog-lights, body kits, white face gauges, SVT wheels, unique interiors) and thus one of these tuners can have a fat-OEM contract with Ford. If Ford doesnt want to develop performance cars let someone do it for them and give the consumer (been itching for an SVT Fusion!) a chance to buy a high-performance Ford in the near future.

Kind of like the Camaro SS (SLP) of years past.

Most of those companies you listed do help in designing of engines and parts for Ford already.

It would be like the Shelby GT.
Shipped off as a Mustang GT only to have another company slap on thier or other parts onto it.

SVT vehicles were different.
They were designed by SVT, and rolled down the line with the other Ford vehicles.

I'd rather have the vehicle testing/collaborated with those companies, but still have it built inhouse
Is it just me?

I agree, but it seems Ford has no intention of bringing back SVT as we remember. I feel that a collarberation (more than just cold air kits, suspension goodies like the Shelby GT) would be a decent compromise. Value also has to be a key, something that I dont see in the Shelby GT or the marked up GT500. I want a new Mustang with power that is compairible to my 03' Cobra but at a reasonible price. My local dealership has Shelby GTs selling for over $40,000! While GT500s in the area are still selling 15-20k above sticker. My Cobra cost approx $34,000 when new, and will walk all over the Shelby GT, Bullitt (not much of an improvement over the much cheaper Mustang GT) and will hold its own against a Saleen or GT500 for about half the price. Though these new Mustangs are great cars I don't see the value that made the Mustang such a great car outside of the GT model. I'm not trying to have an SN-95 Bias but I feel that the Mach1 and Cobra were much better bargains than the current S197 SEs.

Roush and Saleen also sell their own versions of the F-150, both well over $50,000 and little to no performance improvement over the last gen Lighning. I want a high performance Ford that i'm not paying $15,000 for a body kit!
