In general, the 69 & 70 look the same.
I'm not sure I understand your question.

they aren't the same from the front which is what I think he's talking about.

I wouldn't mind either way, but I like the 69 front a bit better just cause it has more of a resemblance to other mustangs.

Its going to look like the 05-08. With hips. I like the 69 hips better.

My vote is on '69... I'm pretty sure they'll be keeping the dual "headlights" look. Of course, I've always preferred the '69 nose to the '70. Just not a big fan of those little side scoops. They look like whiskers or something.

Now if they were to combine the headlights WITH the "whiskers" like on the GT-R, then you may have something!

I don't think it'll follow a structure of 'x' year.
I think it'll do what the 05 did.

Take the 'features' from past mustangs and encorporate them into a modern design.

I mean seriously, when you look at the 05, you can see that its NOT a direct copy of any specific 60s mustang, other than it takes the oldschool mustang looks and makes them modern....

I see this trend continuing...

The only thing I see different is the headlight bucket.

Other than very small details like the headlights, they are the same car. So I'm not sure how it could be "a mix of both". That was the point to my other post.

'69 fastbacks had a scoop at the hips (quarter panel).

69 / 70 Shelbys are UGLY. No way do I want that front end on a future Mustang.

The front of the 69/70 Shelby always reminded my of an early 70's AMC Javelin

Like I said, small details.

Since everyone is naming favorites, I prefer the '70, myself.

And I agree about not liking the 69 Shelby. :notnice:

I think what you should say it that the early 70's javelin reminds you of a 69/70 shelby since the shelby came out first...

I know what you are saying and for most people that would be true, but I had seen lot's of old javelins before I saw my first 69/70 Shelby (probably because they were a much more common sight). So when I finally saw a 69/70 Shelby, it reminded me of the javelin look that I was already familiar with.
