My wife wants a RED, convertible V6 automatic.
What is the best year... 2011, 2012 or 13?
and why?
I just looked at a 2011... the hood looked like swiss cheese on the front. I couldn't believe my eyes.

13/14. opt for the GT. the sound with the top down is INTOXICATING. cops should be pulling me over for being drunk on the sound of the Coyote 5.0 w/ the top down.

I wonder if the OP drives a mustang. If his wife gets a mustang and he drives it just once then he will be craving the 5.0. Happened to a couple by me recently. Wife bought a Got to have it green convertable and he couldn't take it for long. Ended up with a slightly used 2012 Roush Stage 3.
As far as what year to get, it is what you can afford. I personally like the 13/14 years and with the 2015 around the corner you can probably get great deals on the brand new 2014 models. I paid $17,995 for mine new but it is a manual base hardtop.

A Man Just Needs Some....
Agree with getting her the GT auto. Unless she is going to put lots of miles on it such as a long every day commute, the GT is just the way to go.
