Its annoying as hell when reading posts.
Exactly why I made additions to my ignore list, glad I'm not the only one who also found it irritating.

Motor Trend magazine (April 2011 article on the GT500 w/SVTPP):

- 0 to 60, 4.1 sec
- 1/4 mile, 12.4 sec @ 115.8 mph
- braking, 60 - 0, 104 ft
- lateral accelation, 1.01 g (avg)
- curb weight, 3,801 lb

The BOSS 302, LS, and GT500 SVTPP, three great flavors to choose from. It seems the GT500 has a slight edge performace wise although for the most part the differences are so slight most will barely notice. The choice boils down to taste, features, design, and the fact the GT500 is now offered at X-Plan.

BOSS 302 or GT500....

Both are fun cars, built for different uses, and for different people. So far, Ford is the only one to offer so many flavors of affordable sports cars.

GT500 - This car is for people that want to drag race, or to have bragging rights. I personally not EVER choose this car if I was Tracking (Road Racing) the car. The extra low end grunt and sudden burst of supercharged power is very unwelcome coming out of corners or anywhere where traction is limited.

Boss 302 - This cars suits people interested in a better balanced Mustang, with more interest in driving than drag racing. The engine is capable of higher rev's, which equals a more flexible engine for different driving conditions, coupled with better suspension than the GT and more agility than the GT500 by less weight, this makes for a very capable Mustang.

GT - This car is best suited for the everyday Joe. The GT is fast, capable, and the best daily driver out of all the V8 models. These cars can be purchased for almost $15k at less than the Boss 302, and $25k less than the GT500.

I must disagree. I have an '12 gt on order and previously had an '07 gt500. The low end torque isn't ever unwelcome as a daily driver. It means you can drive around much more relaxed and composed and make great time than the GT can. I'm sure I'll enjoy the GT, but please don't try and justify it down. It is only 12k more now that it is available on xplan. That is the reason I'm getting a GT instead. If I could, I'd get the Shelby. I also had an '05 Gt before the gt500 so I've lived with both for a while. I would prefer to have the torque available, over the hp for a daily driver. Just put the foot down even with the 3.31 and it's widely spaced gears and it would thrust you back in the seat, and didn't stop. I may get that in a couple gears, but the GT500 with it's non-Chinese built 6sp, had usable 1st and 2nd gears as well. You could actually put your foot down in 1st if you took off normally at a light. Pretty enjoyable to take off easily and pretty quietly from a light only to look back in your mirror to see everyone 100yds behind. Always made me smirk.

Anyway, I should get my car, ordered 3/7 in late May or June. I waited longer for the Shelby. And I'll drive it daily and enjoy it for what it is. A very capable car.
