When I get my 10/11 I will probably own it for 8-10 years. It won't be worth much at that time, so it doesn't matter to me.

No warranty, on the other hand, I AM concerned with. Either way I would leave my car mostly stock until the warranty is out. Where I live, it just isn't worth it for me to have the new 5.0, UNLESS the '10 I'm looking at sells. Then I will go for it.

But I understand that not everyone's situation is the same, so I try not to generalize. If you guys are so concerned about how much your car is going to be worth in 3 years when the new one comes out, then by all means go for the 11. It will surely have a higher resale value. That notion isn't even on my radar though.
You know it is always nice to have older family members to turn to for questions . And at 43, i think i am one of them. But of course i look 33 !
22 and single, man oh man i remember those times.

I don't care about resale value *this* time because I'm most likely never going to resell it. I'll be taking it to my grave.

I know! Just busting coconuts. The problem is the SE might be in the 40K range. Maybe if i hit the lotto.

And therein lies the rub. Something better, faster, more worthwhile but...always chasing the price.

Mark my words...to my grave. Been driving a 95 4-cyl Wrangler for over 10 years now and I'm not getting rid of it. And the new Mustang excites me a lot more than an old 4-cyl Wrangler that doesn't even have A/C.

I've only ever loved 2 other cars...my 99 Cobra, that I sold out of necessity, and my 86 5.0 Capri, that I sold after getting the Cobra, a sale that I regret to this day. Wish I still had the 'ol 5.0, warts and all.

Yeah, and some dealers not willing to budge like on a V6/GT because its a limited edition car.

I'm also hoping that some of the features filter down into the GT in the next gen + MyFord Touch.
I want to see how they all play out.

Think closer to a Mach1-level type of SE and not a Bullitt-level type of SE.

I've got my eye on a 2010 with all the options I want, but the only problem it's going to have to be shipped in because it's approx. 700 miles away. After shipping costs, it almost equals what I expect a 2011 with the same options to cost. If the 2010 isn't available when I head into the dealer, I'll probably end up ordering a 2011.

The question is, should I try better than x-plan price on the 2010? MSRP on the car is 38,160, I'm paying 39000 out the door, including the shipping with x-plan pricing and 0% financing, no rebates. It's the 0% financing that's got me hooked on the 2010 right now.
