I also will hold off a month or two before ordering. Only to coincide with my vacation plans!

Liked the '05-'09's, fell in love with the '10 after first rejecting it. Rented one last summer and almost bought one until I heard news of the '11.

I live overseas and will order a Kona or Sterling (wife's preference) w/Saddle GT Premium, 3.73, spoiler delete in time for a July/August delivery... unless of course my financials change drastically by then. These days, you never know...

Haha classic! Yeah I do like the Brembo Pkg and HD radio on the new Elec Pkg, but with the savings on the 10s, I would be a fool to not go for one if I'd be happy with the option/color combo. I drive in bumper to bumper traffic every day. Not to mention 300hp is more than enough car for
most people. I don't need the 5.0. I'd love the extra power if I had a place/time to use it, but I don't right now. The aftermarket for the 4.6 is there so, we'll see...

And I know Jason has been right there waiting too! God I can't wait any more!!!

I'm debating heavily on whether to spend the extra cash on a 2011.
I can get a Black/Black 2010 Premium with:
401A
Security pkg
Comfort pkg
19" bright machined wheels
3.73 axle pkg
rear video camera (don't care about this)
this car's MSRP is $35,205
selling for $28,738
out the door for ~$30,500

A 2011 for me would have:
Premium GT
Brembo brake pkg
Security pkg
3.73 axle ratio
MSRP would be $36,673
my x-plan price would be $33,921
out the door would be ~$36050

I'm not short on cash but $5500 is not chump change.
The $5500 question
Is a 5.0, 6-speed, a tighter suspension and bigger brakes worth that?

I just can't justify dumping a 2 year old car with less the 20k on it. I ensuing bath would not make the "boss" happy.

Her words were strong. "if you want ANOTHER new Mustang, the garage queen must go somewhere else." Don't know if I can part with her after 20 years. The car, I mean.

To me the difference in cost isn't worth it. The only thing I care about on the 11 is the Brembo Pkg. I love the wheels, and would like th bigger brakes. I don't really care about the 6spd, as my daily commute wouldn't get me out of 3rd, maybe 4th anyways, also negating the usefulness of an extra 100hp to me. I can add the GT500 brakes and probably the wheels and tires for WAY less than what I would save. Maybe not the wheels, but I could get something else I'd be happy with.

If I got a '10, I'd get some coilovers and exhaust right off the bat and would still save a few thousand over an '11.

Hey bud, just out of curiosity, you should add the exact same options on the 10 you're looking at, to the 11 + the Brembo Pkg, and see just how much you'd REALLY save.

I want a Kona GT auto, but need some help picking out the remaining details. I would like the 19" (64V or 64X) rims, but don't know if they are summer only tires. If anyone knows, this will make my decision much easier.

The non-Brembo/Track Pack 19s come with the same all season tires as the rest of the lineup. Just a bigger size...

Although, I would love the new 5.0 just to have a nice witty license plate having to do with ACME or Wile E Coyote

She is very accomodating usually. The '08 was a tough sell and another would fly like a lead ballon. FWIW, she wants a new car and hers has 60k on it. Runs good, looks good and it's paid off "but it's 7 years old".

My only problem with getting a '10 now is getting one with the color and options I want, which could be difficult....

No problem. Just park her in the living room.

I hear you. I found one 98% the way I want it. Just doesn't have Saddle interior, which I could easily change. Now it's just more saving ...

Have you seen saddle in person? While it's a decent attempt to make a luxurious looking leather, the color itself puts me off big time. Black is way sexier, IMO.

Yeah I've seen the Saddle. I really like it. I've had black/dark charcoal on all my other cars and I'm just tired of it. I want something different. I like the red, but I think I'd get tired of it, especially with the steering wheel being red too. I really like that pic though. I haven't seen the 2010 all lit up at night yet, and that does look really nice. It's not that I don't like the Black...I just want something different. Also, the Saddle is like identical to the fur on my dogs - i.e. the dog hair won't show up on the seats!

Like I said, the car I found has the Glass Roof and black interior, so I could live with it, having more light in the cabin than a regular coupe. But I'd probably change it down the road...I was thinking I might even do a darker shade, more of a chocolate brown like the new Audis have. I used to work at a very high end custom audio place, so the sky is the limit for me. I'd do the work, so I'd save there, but I have access to pretty much anything.

If I get Sterling Gray/Black, I might do a charcoal suede insert on the seat and door panels. We'll see...
