Who's doing what and why ?
Though my interest may rise if/when a "Boss" SE were to be made available.
But I am still very happy with the Mach . . .
Well I was all set to place my order for am '11 gt but a once in a lifetime deal for a house fell in my lap that I just could not pass up. Plus just got engaged so I can not justify a new car at this moment. Believe it or not the fiance is all about me getting a new car so maybe sooner then later ill have a new baby. I'm thinking a Boss would look great in the new garage
I love my car and will NEVER get rid of it!! I will only add to the "stable"!!
While the 2011 GT is VERY tempting (its is SO hard to resist sitting at work, and just going into CONCEPTS and adding a GT built to my specs in the order bank, lol), I promised myself I will wait for the 2014 model. Why? 2 reasons. 1st reason, it will be the new new car. Totally redesigned. The 2nd (and most important) reason to wait for this car is it will be the 50th Anniversary of the car. I have a good good feeling that Ford will do something VERY special for this car when the time comes!!! And if they do I WANT ONE LOADED TO THE MAX!!!!

I'm waiting till 2013 or 2014.
When the new model gets shown I can decide if I like the model and order, or get a great deal on an outgoing new GT or SE.
I'm also waiting on the new car due to the posibilities of new looks, 50th Anniversary, new interior, etc.
And I hope that future models will incorporate some of the upcoming toys coming out....
The waiting will suck though. The new 5Ls will make it VERY tempting.

I'm getting the '11 GT. I thought long and hard from the V6 to the GT but it came down to the fact that I like the front end of the GT better even though the V6 is a more classic Mustangn look. Sure I like the extra power in the GT as well. I had a '10 ordered but when I heard about the new powertrain, I switched over to the '11. Now there is even more bonus.
I "need" a convertible for the summer (sold my ragtop in Sept. '09) so I will be getting my car hopefully soon. I'm not too concerned about Job 1 quality. The body is the same anyway.
But I did find a Ford dealer advertising on the internet in Illinois(?) for $6000 (rebates) under invoice. Very tempting.

Thanks Joe. I'm so close to getting something, I can taste it! I'm just forging through these next 6-8 weeks and trying not to look online, as I have the page for the car that I'm looking at bookmarked. I'd be perfectly happy with a 2010 if it had the options I want, especially at the deals we can get them now. If it does sell, then I just have that much more to save up for a bigger down payment on a special ordered (more expensive) 2011. So either way, my payment should be roughly the same. The wait is killing me though! Especially with all the "I ordered my 11" threads!

I have no idea what kind of situation you're in financially, but the question is: will you be on a tight budget if you get the 2011 ? If not, and you'll still be able to go out for lunch with friends and have a life besides paying for the car. Well i say go for the 2011. Just think of that one time when you'll be at a stop light right next to that guy in his 20011GT with his 5.0 badge showing on the fender. I'm not making it easy for you, am i !!!!
GO FOR IT, that is the 2011 of course.

It's a tough decision!
Also, don't forget resale value! There might be a 5 or 6 grand differance between the two!

Man, I guess it's a byproduct of having a family and being older, but being 22 and single, I could give a rat's *** about resale value! Who cares? I buy my cars for ME and know going in they are NOT an investment. I am going to lose money. So? It makes me happy. I don't care about selling it down the road to get the next hottest thing. When I get my 10/11 I will probably own it for 8-10 years. It won't be worth much at that time, so it doesn't matter to me.
No warranty, on the other hand, I AM concerned with. Either way I would leave my car mostly stock until the warranty is out. Where I live, it just isn't worth it for me to have the new 5.0, UNLESS the '10 I'm looking at sells. Then I will go for it.
But I understand that not everyone's situation is the same, so I try not to generalize. If you guys are so concerned about how much your car is going to be worth in 3 years when the new one comes out, then by all means go for the 11. It will surely have a higher resale value. That notion isn't even on my radar though.
