Whipple 2.9L Crusher Ordered

Well, I just placed my order for the following:

Whipple 2.9L Crusher
3.750" (10psi) and 4.000" (8psi) Whipple Pullies
Ford Racing 47 lbs Injectors
Ford Racing Spark Plugs (1 stage cooler)
Ford Racing 65mm Throttle Body
JLT 127mm Carbon Fiber Twinscrew Intake

It's about to get real aggressive around here!!!

I'm doing my own install, and I should have the complete package in 2-3 weeks.

The 2.9L Crusher takes a couple of weeks before it's ready for delivery.

I'm really hoping that it holds up. That's is a high compression motor to be boosting. Cant wait to see how well ford did building those 5.0's.

AWESOME! Let us know how it goes; I'm thinking of going this route soon, too!

Oh, and if Lethal's stock-engined, 2.9L Whipple-augmented 2011 5.0L hasn't grenaded, yet, I think you'll be just fine.

Sounds like you staid at a Holiday Inn last night...

That sounds very impressive...Good luck.

Sounds very cool! I'm thinking you'll soon need new tires, anyhow. If I bought this, I sure would burn through them PDQ!!

Crappy CA 91 octane. If I can find some race gas locally, I'll splash a few gallons in per tank.

I'll keep you updated.

I've got a build thread over on S197Forum where I will detail the install. I think you're on there right?

It's in the Pictures and Video section titled, "S197 GT's 5.0 Build: It's Getting Real Aggressive"

I'll be fine with the stock block. I'm running low boost, and the timing will be at 15* tops.

I just got some really good Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 275/35/19's all around. However, these will go up in dust! I need wider rims first before I get new tires.

I'm looking at these.

Any chance you could run some e85 with that 91? that would raise the octane a bit..

Are you planning to hit up Lund for the new tune, and if so, are you planning on sticking with the cammer?

Yeah, I'll run another Lund tune.

No Ghost Cams this time around. After the tune is dialed in, I might add that, but not likely.

Oh, yeah, I see your thread now. I can't wait until you get this monster installed. You definitely made the right choice, IMO, in going with the Whipple 2.9L supercharger / Lund tune rather than the KB or Procharger route. It's just too bad you're going to have to wait for your JLT CAI.

Awesome! You've seen what he was capable of on Lethal's car at 10 pounds of boost, right? Man, I'm definitely jealous!
