Where to get tune
I live in Salisbury Maryland. Does anyone know a good tuner near or around Salisbury ? Also what is the average price for a tune for a 2013 5.0 GT ? and how much Horsepower could I pick up with just a tune or CAI or both together ? Never had either before. Also ( probably discussed a million times ) but what CAI do you have and why would you recommened it over others. ? I was leaning toward the K & N CAI. Thanks in advance.

Steeda powerpack is a good option. I bought that, went to my local Mustang tuner thinking I would need to get a custom tune to optimize the steeda supplied tune. They only felt justified charging for a Dyno pull because the Steeda tune was spot on. I have since had two tune updates for added mods and Steeda has come through in short order free of charge. Hard to beat that.

I don't know if a 2-hour drive is too much for you, but Adam Browne at Revolution Automotive in Baltimore is the best around. He tuned Vaugh Gittin, Jr.'s World Championship drift car last year in China... and my Roushcharged '13 GT. Haha.

I figured I post your question again because I was wondering the same thing. I assume with an intake and a tune you will see the 44hp and 52tq but how much will you see with just a tune? That is what I am wondering. Hopefully one of the vendors will answer that question here so we can all learn together

You will only see these #'s if you are going from 87 stock to 93 tuned/CAI. If you are running 93 and add a tune and CAI you will see 25-30rwhp gain. About 15 from each.

The Ford intake system is fantastic, absolutely the best that has ever come from the factory. It will actually keep air charge temps slightly cooler under some conditions than an aftermarket cold air. Where the aftermarket cold air shines is in airflow to support higher horsepower. On the dyno we typically see 9 to 12 horsepower over the stock airbox, mostly above 4,000rpm. A drop in filter is not going to give you any real measureable horsepower.

I had an Obama tune in my 2010 and was not real happy with it. I sent Steeda an email along time ago but they never responded. I just sent TJ another one as now I want to tune my 2013 GT. Other companies sell the SCT tuner with 3 tunes. Does Steeda do the same? Waiting to hear back from TJ...
