Interested in seeing some times for the automatic versions of the V6 and GT. Did i miss them, or are there not any out yet?

Correct me if I'm wrong, But I don't believe there was a single review of the 2010 in auto format. In fact I believe every review on the 2010 had a track pack. And I think I only found 2 reviews collectively among the 05-09 which had auto trans...

Albeit this should change as it's a totally revamped auto format, so I'm sure more curious onlookers will be wanting to know how well the auto performs as well. Which thus there should be one to come sometime in the summer I'm guessing...

I think it will be a fair amount slower than the manual transmission w/ 3.73 rear end tests we've been seeing. Only time will tell.

In a lot of higher HP cars the autos are faster. See the CTS-V.

Also depends on the competency of the user. Autos are easy even for the press. Now being they were from a car mag you'd expect them to be proficient with the use of a clutch, but you never know.

The autos have been getting quicker and shifting faster. I think, though I have no evidence, the times from the auto will be more repeatable and more uniform among the mags. Plus I think they'll be just as fast.

Nothing in the quarter but Ford had a eighth of a mile track setup and the Mustang really beat the Camaro auto. I saw trap speeds listed from 3 to 5 MPH faster for the Stang. This is side by side so to me thats the most telling review.

I wish I could find the article but I remember reading that the Ford Engineers got their fastest times running the automatic with TCS on.

+1, I really can't wait to see the difference between manual/auto 5.0's, if there is one at all.

2011 Ford Mustang: First Drive says the used "Driving Ford legal department-mandated six-speed slushbox-equipped cars" so there are a few numbers to tide you over.

Good find. I can't believe they don't list the actual 1/8 mile time, but better than nothing!
