They reported on inside line that the trans is toast and being replaced.

In defense of the Camaro inside line had a 370Z trans "mysteriously fail" also.

I remember hearing about an early production problem on the transmissions that held up production for a bit... Looks like that one slipped through...

Obviously a Ford saboteur snuck in and damaged it while nobody was looking. There is no possible way Chevy could've messed something up.

I, for one, think Chevy accidentally stuck some wheel weights on the TOB during their wheel weight frenzy.

I still want to see a proper quarter mile between a 2011 GT and a 2010 SS with manuals all around. The 1/8th mile Ford did was a little silly. Short strip (I'm guessing so they didn't release any numbers that can be construed as official) and the SS with automatic transmission is only 400 HP (for some reason). That said, Automatic or Manual, I'm sure we'd get the same result. 5.0 win.

I second the lol at "going easy on it".
