You are flat out wrong if you think I would not bring it up. And I will guarantee you I am not the only one either.
First, what does age have to do with it? Are eighteen-year old people not allowed to ask Ford execs questions about their products?

Secondly, you can ask all you want but you'll only get one of two things: a company-line comment that you have most probably heard already, or a cold shoulder and an escort out of the event. There is a time and place for everything, and bumping chests with the big-wigs at Ford at an invitational event because you're not 100% satisfied with the way your Mustang shifts is going to get your opinion summarily dismissed. Your opinion isn't worth a **** thing if it isn't listened to. This isn't France; you can't cut their heads off if you don't like your car. The fact that nothing has been done about the transmission is evidence that Ford DOES NOT feel that the transmission falls outside the quality control measurements. With everything that is mass-produced, there are defects. It's part of living in the age of industrialization.

If you don't like it, sell it and get yourself something else. Making an *** of yourself will only get you further away from your desired result.

I got one for ya if someone was really to take questions from Mustang owners. How about a brand loyalty discount? I already own a Mustang, if Ford wants to sell more and current owners could get a substantial discount, I might be enticed to buy another $30K plus hot rod.

Now that's a good question that could be asked respectfully, and he'd probably give you a solid answer

When talking with an executive you better keep things at a high level, and even then expect the answer to be very broad and vague. They can't just give all the secrets of the company just because you asked. Nor are they probably even aware of all the intimate details you're asking.

Especialy question#6. That's just downright offensive. You're basically telling him his company is lying. Guess what kind of response you'll get to that?

Here are some general questions that you could get answers to, and that would be professional:

1) Where do you see the Mustang headed in the next 10 years?

2) Does Ford want to keep the car with it's muscle car roots, or move it forward to being a world class sports car?

3) Are there any plans upgrade older models equipped with the SYNC Nav to have newer capabilities (i.e. AppLink, TrackApps, text functionality)?
This is good advice. Asking technical questions of a Exec especially ones that may give away too much of strategy to competitors is a good way to get the non committal press answer. Also, questions 1 & 2 are great questions.

How about a telescoping steering wheel. Manual or electric doesn't matter. I have a hell of a time getting a comfortable (to me) driving position. When I'm close enough to the wheel my knees are in the dash. Farther back, and the wheel is to far away.

I know I'm inviting some great comments with this. So let 'em rip, I can take it.....

I doubt anybody disagrees with that. Being much more comfortable driving a Fusion rental the past three weeks because of the telescoping wheel is just further proof for me.

The first time I washed my car in the auto wash cave I was double and triple checking to make sure that the mirrors would clear. God forbid if you forget to pull the radio antenna off before you let her rip. I think I read that the 14's that are sold in Japan have the folding mirrors. I would like to get my hands on a set of those.

Older and current versions of Sync already support SMS, both reading messages out to you and allowing you to reply by voice. The problem is that most Phones Bluetooth software do not support SMS. I used to use a HTC Surround Windows 7.5 Phone and with it the above features worked. At the time I had a 2010 GT500 and a 2010 Ford Raptor.

Is there a follow up on this? What questions were asked? Answered? What info came of it?
