What parts to the 08-09 Bullitts and 2010 Gts share?

Whats up guys,

Just sitting around in my Barracks in Afghanistan and wondering about what to do to my bone stock 10 GT. I have read a lot of reviews and articles that basically say that the 08 09 Bullitt was a rolling prototype for the 10 GT and the the 10 GT shares most of its components with the Bullitt. Now exactly what do the two share? I know the tune is the same as the Bullitt, which is why it has the higher Red line and the added 15 hp and the extra 5 lb/ft or torque over the previous GTs. Is the exhaust the same as the bullitt? Does it have the specific mufflers and the Bullitts "tuned" H pipe. I know most of the handling improvements done to the Bullitt carried over. Any way just wondering if someone has done the research and knows exactly what the two cars share.

thanks in advance

jim

Jim,
Thanks for your service. Be safe over there!!

I'm interested in these questions too. I'm not sure I know more than you but I am pretty sure that the stock mufflers are different- the Bullitts had something like a glass packed style muffler (IIRC) and the 10s had a chambered muffler. I'm about 85% sure of that.

That said, the aftermarket exhaust systems are sold to cover 2005 cars through 2010...so I can say with confidence that the mufflers are interchangable.

Correct. The '10 exhaust is identical to the '09 (exept for the tips, 09=3" 10=3 1/2")
the mufflers even have the same part # stamped on them (auto & man are diff).
The bullitt mufflers have a slightly larger interior diameter and a glass-pack 3 1/2" tip.
