My favorite mod is the GT500 OTA pipes and GT500 single tip mufflers. I love the sound this thing makes.

I will also be following the common trend... Only mod so far has been the pair of gt500 axle backs, and they fit the bill... I got them on a great sale for $280 shipped brand new and installed them on jacks in the middle of the rain at night I was so excited about them!! My only regret would be that I should have saved for the quad tips and valence... But I'll likely do that in the future haha

Sound is a big player in the muscle/sports car experience, and there was no question the stock mufflers were restricting the fun!

Future mods that will add to the fun for me;

Blowfish trans mount and or mgw shifter

JLT Intake and tune

Window tint

20-9 and 20-10 staggered wheel and tire set up for summer

Lowering springs and struts

Boss 302 grille

3d carbon gt500 spoiler

wow, seems the general consensus is aftermarket mufflers...

I would have thought the MGW or other aftermarket shifters would dominate this thread.

FWIW: my favorite mod was the lowering springs. Eliminated 90% of wheel hop, eliminated that embarrassing rear wheel gap, and brake dive

You and I got our GT 500 axlebacks at the same time for the same price. I too had considered the quads and valance, but if I recall correctly that combo was 2 1/2 times what the single was on sale for then.

Besides, there's something very menacing about the way those 4" coffee can exhaust tips look.

And I agree....the sound is what turns heads.

For me it has to be the stripes which really make the car pop. It completely changes the look of my car and I love how it stands out among all the boring blacked-out Mustangs.

Well, I tend to favor tires and suspension for a daily driver application as this will make or break my driving enjoyment. The supercharger is a nice upgrade, but the power increase is a secondary priority for me and perhaps this is the first sign of old age beginning to creep in.

Hi Patrick do you have a video clip, would like to hear this. Do you have a thread on this. I'd be interested in hearing more about them. Thanks.

My favorite mods so far:

MGW Short throw shifter
Koni Orange and Steeda sport springs.

Tie between the GT-500 Axle backs & the Blowfish Racing Shifter mounting bracket.

I may have to try the Blowfish bracket. I've done some reading on it, and from what I can tell it has a shot at making the MT-82 feel more like my favorite tranny of all time (the T-5).

If there was a thread on "least satisfying mod" I would have no problem identifying my Ford Racing shifter bracket. The short throw shifter itself is great, but I only had the bracket on for a couple of days before replacing it with the stock bracket. If anything, the FR bracket made the shifting notchier and transmitted more noise into the cabin.

Its interesting to see people's choices in this thread- especially the number of exhaust related #1 mods!

It would have to be the CAI/Tune. That made the car so much better and fun to drive.

I would have to say my full Bassani exhaust. Stock, it was too quiet, now you can hear me a mile away. Next would probably be my VMP supercharger or whenever I'm done installing it lol.

Hey Lasser. I went to SOLOS's Web Site and they have nothing listed for Mustang's. What did you use?
