Sounds like I am not alone in my appreciation of a nice exhaust note- but wheels seem to be running a close second!

Boss Side Exhaust! The must have for Mustang. The feeling of great enthusiasm driving these ponies comes from the 'Sound'.

No, but i can understand it totally. If you are in Burlington Mass, then yeah. I know how crappy the winters can be

Which ratio did you have before? Did you correct your speedometer?

Very good to hear that you're enjoying the exhaust!!!

Add in another vote for the Boss quad/side exit exhaust. My car is mostly stock but that exhaust note creates a perfect driving experience and gives tons auditory feedback.

Luckily I haven't done one thing to this car yet I've regretted (which wasn't the case with my old rides...). In the end I get the most joy from my GT500 OTAs and axle-backs.

I don't feel like that can be 100% true. I don't have numbers to back it up. However, I would think the Jeep Wrangler would hold the number one spot for modding. Atleast I can't think of another vehicle that would be higher on the list. Anyway...

I've only just hit 2000 miles with mine. So I like a few here haven't done much. Yet.

I'm going to 2nd the window tint.

The gt500 style spoiler I have makes the rear look great but doesn't effect the driving experience, and color matching the thread on the leather to match the car just makes it look like it should have came that way from the factory.

I have to do the exhaust next. After reading all of the posts it has moved up to number one on the list.

Before you buy GT500 axlebacks, check out Solo Performance. They're a small shop, but have some awesome technology. I'm running their 3" catback and it sounds amazing, with no drone whatsoever. If you like Mustang sound, get this exhaust. It's a mid muffler setup, so it has that old school Mustang sound, that (IMO) none of the axleback offerings can touch.

My first mod. The GT500 Catback Exhaust that Ford installed for me. The rest has just been icing on the cake.

I also happen to own an '03 Jeep TJ, and the number of aftermarket catalogs does rival my collection of Mustang suppliers! I don't usually think of my Jeep as an automobile (its kinda like an off-road toy that drives itself to the OHV Park ), but it would be pretty close between the two.

I don't think the guy was making a scientific statement, but it would be interesting to see someone try to make a statistical analysis. I also sometimes find myself wondering if Ford doesn't purposely "sand-bag" it on a few components to give their after-market vendors support (thinking in particular of the crappy shifter mount, and unavoidable wheel-hop that comes with the factory components .

Heck, if you look at the responses on this thread, Ford could have added the GT500 ABs into the Track Package, tacked on a couple hundred $$$, and had a bunch of happy buyers!

Pete... excellent thread topic. I enjoy these types of threads.

Do I have to pick ONLY one??? Ugh... I struggle. They're all so deliciously good

I'd have to say:

Corsa Extreme Catback (I'm so glad no one else has said that yet, which makes my setup all the more rare) - I've had the GT500 and Borla Type S setups, and they were great in their own right, but are nothing compared to the Corsas. Hands down, Corsas FTW!!!

MGW - need I say why? If people don't know about the MGW, they're living under a rock. It's a must for everyday enjoyment.

Koni yellows/Steeda springs/Nitto Drag Radials/Niche wheels - power to the ground, and much improved handling. All 3 working in unison.

Maggie blower - of course?!?!?! Who wouldn't love 520 whp??? (folks who have 600+ whp!!! )

^ I listed the above in no particular order. They ALL work together, delivering the PERFECT driving experience. One without the other wouldn't be as good.

For me its a tie...the shock tower brace changed the way the car rides, but the CS Grill gave it great looks!
