So first off I would just like to announce that after a little more than a year of searching, I have finally landed a job . So that means I can finally work on getting into a brand new stang. I really like the new refresh but don't want to pay msrp for one, so I was wondering what people are paying right now for a 2012 base auto gt? Any info is helpful, thanks.

We bought our 2012 GT/CS 2 weeks ago. $3000 rebate, X-Plan saved almost another $3000, & we called Ford Marketing Group (1 800 334-4375) & asked for a brochure & coupon. That got us another $750 off. Sticker was $41,550 & we paid around $34k for it. We also utilized local bank financing & got a good interest rate. Much better than Ford Credit.

I did the about the same as "mcate" did, $3000 ford rebate + $750 coupon + dealer took off $2200 off sticker.

Long story short you should be able to do the same - $6000 ish off.

Thanks for the info. So is it safe to assume that a 2012 base auto 5.0 could run me around 26K with rebate, x plan, and 1250 in incentives?

X Plan probably won't save you $3000 on a base GT. The more goodies the car has, the more the plan saves. The markup is higher on options I guess. I've seen base GT's where X Plan only saved around $1800 or so. It's usually $100-200 above dealer invoice.

$7800 off of sticker price $37280, paid $29500 plus tax and tittle fees, so $31694 on road.

The dealership I work at has a new 12 GT automatic for $25,950. That's after our discount and the factory $3K rebate. Any additional rebates will make it that much cheaper! You can see it at www.bowenscarff.com with its price clearly posted.

Local dealer is offering up to $8000 off all 2012 Mustangs. That includes all rebates.
