So first off I would just like to announce that after a little more than a year of searching, I have finally landed a job . So that means I can finally work on getting into a brand new stang. I really like the new refresh but don't want to pay msrp for one, so I was wondering what people are paying right now for a 2012 base auto gt? Any info is helpful, thanks.

I did the about the same as "mcate" did, $3000 ford rebate + $750 coupon + dealer took off $2200 off sticker.
Long story short you should be able to do the same - $6000 ish off.

X Plan probably won't save you $3000 on a base GT. The more goodies the car has, the more the plan saves. The markup is higher on options I guess. I've seen base GT's where X Plan only saved around $1800 or so. It's usually $100-200 above dealer invoice.
