Question what do I need to have lighter clutch pedal

Hello Folks

I recently moved from TX to VA and traffic during weekdays here is crazy, I have to stop and go several miles every day to work in congested traffic, my 5.0 clutch felt light compared to my old 07 v6, now after using almost for 6 months, I am feeling it hard to press and release countless times in congested traffic, also if I go over 4000rpm in any gear and try to upshift my clutch pedal becomes very tight and hard to press in and change the gear, is it normal or something wrong with my car only.

also I need to know if changing clutch to gt 500 clutch will make it lighter or changing to some stage 3 stage 4 after market ones will soften my clutch pedal.

or do I need to change like master / slave assembly with brake fluid to make it lighter.

I also hear a clunk like driveline noise when I upshift from 2 to3 or 1 to 3 or 1 to 2, looks like I need a aluminium drive shaft instead of that 2 piece junk yard crap shaft on a 38k car.

pls advise

My '11 5.0 clutch is real easy to press. Wife (both knees replaced) has no issues in traffic with ours at 14,700 miles on it. I would say you need to visit a dealer. It should bot be hard to push at any rpm. After that, decide if you need a complete change.

Clunk could be other parts....tranny, rearend....again, have the dealer look into it first...then mod as needed.

mine is definitely harder than first day i got it. I too wish for a softer clutch pedal but the dealer says its normal. I tried new fluid, different fluid, new clutch line- everything short of tearing into the clutch itself. If you find a fix let me know. Goodluck at the dealer.

GT500 clutch won't help, probably won't even fit.

And swapping to a heavier aftermarket stage 3 or 4 clutch sure won't make it lighter, just the opposite.

You're still within your 5/60 drivetrain warranty, take it to the dealer to get checked out.

Bull! My S2000 clutch feels like it takes more effort to operate than my 5.0. In fact, I want a stiffer clutch in the Mustang (and I drive in the same VA traffic as the OP). It just feels too light and disconnected to me.
