lol, so true. This is what makes the Mustang such a great car. just about anything (on the GT) can be replaced with aftermarket gear.

Good day today. My matte black super snake stripes and Roush grille arrived. and I made an appointment with an upholstery shop to have grabber blue and black stripe interior accents done on the 23rd. The mod-ing never ends. Ever!

Last week I installed a tint kit for all the lights, but the chrome running pony was a distraction. Today the grille got a matte black pony emblem. It takes the edge off, and next year I'll probably do a black billet grille and hide the fogs behind it.

Before and after the chrome emblem:

Looks awesome! But don't hide the fogs! They're one of my favorite features on these cars.

I like the fogs too, but I also want an emblem-less grille and the only one available hides the fog lamps. I keep searching though.

The tinted fogs in the grill give the car a more aggressive look. Keep it this way, I think the front looks perfect like that and with the black pony.

We talked about that pony earlier this week. It looks great smoked. Im like you, when there are stripes I prefer no fogs or running pony. But people kill for those fogs. When I change mine next week, Im keeping it all, because I know I may want it right back on in six months. Its what makes Mustangs great.

On my race red GT, the pony emblem is already tinted....I have a friend with a black one and I think his is chrome. Did certain cars get chrome and others got tinted ones?

you almost can't even see it

I thought they were all chrome. Did you get yours used or new? Looks good though....tinted lights would look great against RR.

The emblem on my '13 GT isn't that dark, but it isn't shiny chrome like the 5.0 emblems either.

Car was purchased new off the lot with 6 miles on it. The dealer added some grey pinstripes that I promptly removed when I got home.

Even plugs would work. That's what I'll do when I move to Pennsy and ditch the front tag....put little pieces of silver stripe tape around the plugs and shrink it with a heat gun.

^ true... bumper plugs should alleviate. I had that before too, but wanted the completely flush/stock look.

Flush is preferable, but if I want to keep my stripes they'd have to be redone on the bumper.

If people ask what the plugs are for, I'll just wink and tell them not to walk in front of the bumper when I press the red button hidden in the glove box.
