Well, my GT was renamed today by an elder q-tip.

The D&D closest to me is about a half-mile beyond a right turn I make just before getting there. Today I came off that like an a-hole, garrets spooling and BOV screaming, because I hadn't really gotten a chance to open her up yet this morning. Either that or I'm straight up just an a-hole. Anyhow, so I park, hop out, and head for the door anxious to get my coffee when this magnificently shrunken q-tip tells me (very matter-of-factly) that my car sounds like it's sneezing. When she said this to me I stopped in my tracks to mentally process both her and what she just hit me with. I was stuck hard with the vice-like grip of respect that is commanded from any elder q-tip especially one who needn't a cane! I just kind of blinked a few times and said "yes ma'am, it does kind of sound like it's sneezing". The way she said it had me feeling like I should take a knee and apologize for having such a silly sounding car.

Later after having time to collect my thoughts and reflect on the situation, it dawned on me that maybe she thought that rather than have a loud exhaust, maybe the new thing is making your car sound like it's sneezing as my exhaust isn't really that loud. That's not really a stretch when considering most younger males can't even decide how they want to wear a pair of jeans. I'm 36 but you get my point, when you're > 50 years younger than the elder your speaking to, they view you as a baby anyhow. I think she felt she was keeping it real in her own way and calling me out. On my way back home I couldn't help but laugh because when you listen to it, it does in fact sound like it's a giant sneeze machine as it inhaaaaaaaaales and then kerchew, through the gears.

So I feel compelled to retire my car's current name, Rumblebelly, and go with Sneezy out of respect for the q-tip.

-Mike

That's too funny Mike. We can always depend on the truth from kids, and the seniors.

It's funny, I always thought those shifters in the rice-mobiles sounded like they were sneezing...
