Are there others like me that contemplate trading in but never do? I think things like...

...I'm too far in it and over the halfway payoff.

I've put too much money in mods already.

I could only afford base if I upgraded, so it would be more money on top of that in new mods.

My insurance and gas bill would go up. I could be using that extra money on my family and investments.

My car payment would go up.

Will I lust after the 15 models?

Do I really deserve it? Lol

Congratulations on the order. I did the same thing and just got mine delivered a week ago. Couldn't be happier. I am sure you will be as well...

I did the track pack, glass roof (had it on 09GT loved it) and navigation...

The wait is the hardest part... the wait till spring that is... at least I have my F150...

^^^^^ True story. I have been dreaming about having a car with Recaros in it since I was a kid and now that I have them in my Mustang I haven't been disappointed at all. They are everything I knew they would be.

Ever since I saw them in a 13 GT with the tack pack, I knew I had to have them, and I was lucky enough to order a Boss. On the rare occasion I have to move my wife's 11 GT in the driveway, and slide into her 'regular' pleated leather seats the more I appreciate my seats. They really hold you in and make you feel more connected to your car and enhances your driving experience.

I guess it ones own opinion. I sat in the recaros all though they are nice seats I went with the standard leather seats. The recaros look to bulky in the car to me. I guess that's why there are so many options from Ford. Pick and choose

Congrats! You've probably been thru the wait recently and know what to expect ... the forums are great for order-waiters and those of us with our cars in storage.

On 1/11 it will be 2 years since I placed my order... can't believe how time flies - except when you have a new Mustang being built!

I know I won't need it for a while, but does anyone have that link you can use to enter your VIN and see the window sticker? I had it back in 2011 when I ordered my 12 but must have deleted it....

Jeff,
I got my 2014 GT in 5 weeks with the help of Deysha from Ford Service. She was able
to track the car all the way to the dealership. She is an excellent resource person!

Why not just drive your V6 to the dealer? If worried about getting it dirty, not your problem anymore?

Hang in there - the wait sure is tough! My dealer is the best. He kept my car indoors from the day it arrived ( wintertime ) for almost a month until the weather and my schedule allowed me to pick it up. He is over an hour away - all highway, so I couldn't just crawl home. Let me tell you - the wait for the car to arrive was grueling...but the wait from then until I picked it up was TORTURE! ...But dang....it was worth it!!

You're in the home stretch! If you want something to watch that will make you appreciate the folks that are building your Mustang, watch the video at this link:

The day my '14 was due to arrive, we had tornados and severe thunderstorms in Dallas. The dealer asked if I wanted to wait until the next day for delivery... yeah, right! My son arrived as the car came off the semi, and they let him watch the delivery prep process.

I only had to wait 6 weeks, and it still felt like an eternity. I kept wondering "Why didn't I just take one off the lot?" In the end, I really wanted the red interior, glass roof, and track pack (and all the other gizmos I ordered)- and the wait was worth it!

Enjoy the delivery day, and the wait will make you appreciate every day with your Mustang all the more. I've owned a LOT of Mustangs, and my '14 GT is far and away the best Mustang Ford has ever built (or at least the best one I've ever owned)!

Jcstang congrats. Time to sit back and order a few bolt ons while you wait. I ordered my '13 on sept 9 and delivery was on Dec 11 2012. Hopefully you don't have to wait that long. The lovely Deysha will keep tabs for you and calm you down some while you wait.
