washer fluid line t connector

Can someone please help me with a simple problem. I recently had some body work done that involved the hood and the washer fluid is not making it out of my nozzles. Under the pad there is a t connecter as shown in the photos that is not connecting and I cant figure out how to secure it so it wont leak the fluid. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to pull back on the outer gray ring that is on the white connector and then insert the end of the black tubing in there, pull forward a bit on the gray connector to lock it.

That's how the under hood parts on mine went together...

Ok I just tried that again, but the connectors do not pull back at all. The only thing that is movable is the black sleeve around the gray t connector. It basically looks like a collar/sleeve thing. The part with the arrow is what is connected to the sprayer nozzle. It seems like the end of it should just snap into the gray t connector, but it is stopping without securing. I am not sure if I am missing something (ie a part) or if something is broke. Its such a simple part that it is killing me and I hate to take it back to the shop just out of inconvenience.

Can anyone snap a pic of how there's is connected?
