I totally understand, I'm not trying to bring you down. I just don't want anyone to be surprised like I was when the rep at AAI said it had shipped only to find out that "shipped" means it's just sitting somewhere else and not actually moving. I don't know about you but this waiting is driving me nuts.

From what I have read they have to have enough cars going down that way before shipping, it's cost-effective.

Called the 800 # this morning. Got the same answer I got 2 weeks ago.
Car has been shipped, your dealer should have it 5/5.
So I said "What does that mean"? She said call back in 2or 3 days.
What? So I can get the same answer!!! Nobody knows squat.

Now I feel better!
Ordered 3/1
Shipped 4/24
ETA-..............

the 800 line people just read from a script or deliver canned answers I think. They can only tell you what their comptuer screen says. This was the first car I ordered, but the tracking system at Ford is lacking to say the least. Maybe it is like that at all car factories?

That's great news. I wonder if they dropped off anything to the DFW railyard while they were passing through...

I wonder if its just because the percentage of cars that are custom ordered is so low. Most cars are stock orders I would think.

I know for a fact there is a V6 at the lot that arrived last Friday, and it had the same build date as mine. Different plant, same state.

It just kind of sucks that some seem to get left on the dock or in the lot a little longer than others. Mine was a VRO, the V6 was a stock order. **** the luck.

What I can't understand is why nobody knows anything.
If I send a $5 package via UPS I can find out where it is.
How many items do you suppose UPS moves a day.

Yet, we ship 30-40 thousands dollar vehicles, and all I get is, any day, call again,.........
I know if I sent something of this amount, I would sure as ____ know where it was.

Time to increase my meds.
Thanks

You're not alone, Tom. The factory says, "In transit" and the dealer says, "on the way". And NO ONE seems to be able to figure out where purgatory is or how long the car will be there.

I also don't understand how dealers have cars that are sitting in their lot, when I can look at the VIN # and see they were built after mine.
I know I just need to chill out!

I'm going nuts, too. First it would be here 4/29, then 5/7, then 5/11. So I called Ford on 5/11 and they told me.......get this, it is not a typo.....that ETA had been changed from 5/11 to 5/4.

Bottom line, they apparently don't have a clue....so I sit and wait.
