I guess I'm just getting cranky and old. The drone at cruising speed keeps me from being able to hear my Fox News Channel on Sirius.

 

Well, I made an appointment for tomorrow to put the old exhaust back on. You guys who don't drive your cars daily or who curse around at 50 or 60 mph don't understand. But I drive alot everyday in stop and go traffic with an average speed around 40- 45 mph and that is exactly where the 2000 rpm drone is. My ears are ringing from the noise plus it is hard to talk to people or listen to the radio with the drone. Granted, I have already some hearing lost and my ears are more sensitive to low tones than an average person. And I love the sound except for the drone which by the way is worst at 2000 but can be heard at other speeds too.

So if anyone is looking for a Roush exhaust in the mid-hudson valley of NY, you can buy mine for just $375, only one week old.

Today I went back to Healey Ford in Goshen, NY, where I bought the exhaust and had Rick, their Mustang expert, put the old exhaust back on. These guys at Healey are the best. They didn't charge me anything to re-install the stock system and one of the guys there, another Mustang fan, bought my old Roush (1 week old!) system and they ordered for me a set of Magnaflow axleback. Will get next week and then I will be all set. I highly recommend any high performance Ford person to go to Healey and ask for Chic.
