Videos of me doing "so-so" at the track - first time out this year

Our track just opened up so I went on opening night. This was the tracks 3rd total pass this year

First run: 3500rpm launch, spun cause the track was cold. Ran a 12.2 @ 114. Trap was a little lower than normal?

Second run: 4500rpm launch, car dead hook and bogged because of it. Track officials said it lifted the front left tire. I need more practice with the car to perfect the launch. This car has a 11.7-11.9 in it easy. I just need to drive it better

It is a fun, yet humbling experience...

I had 300+ runs in my 07GT and had that down to a science. It just takes track experience to get perfect and I am fine with that

I have that exhaust now and you were right! I love it!
What kind of tires did you have for these runs?

I am running 275/50/17 M&H Racemasters

I needed the 28" tall tire to keep me from shifting to fifth by the top of the track with 3.73s

S and W full exhaust, Steeda CAI and tune, Mickey thompsons on stock 18's, 3.73 M6.

Sure can... That is essentially identical to my mods

You just need to get the launch right and nail the 3 shifts. Your car can do 11.5 if you get everything perfect including the weather. Perfect is tough though and will take many many passes to get there

Cool!

Would you put the new cams on there? 40WHP. Thinking about other mods?

Oh, man... that is why they invented the drool emoticon!!

It really has an exotic sound... yet still full of muscle car goodness.
