V6 CAI/Tune Combo Questions

I'm about to pull the trigger on a CAI/tune combo. I was going to get the Airaid CAI and Bama SCT X4 tuner. I have a few questions before I make the purchase.

If I get the SCT X4 tuner with Bama tunes installed on it, is it locked to Bama tunes only or can I order tunes from Steeda, MPT, etc and upload them to it as well?

I don't want to spend tons of money always getting 93 Octane fuel all the time so I was thinking about getting the 87 Octane performance tune and 93 Octane performance tune as my first 2 free included tunes. Will I notice a difference with the 87 octane tune in terms of power or will my engine just be more efficient with firmer shift points, etc? I hear just getting a tune in general for a V6 automatic makes a world of difference just from a shifting and smoothness standpoint but I'd also like to feel it in the butt dyno too (and truly be putting better numbers out as well).

Thanks for the feedback in advance! Wouldn't go anywhere else for advice

Hello,

I would love to get you into this unit here - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-v6-must...pack-555-3938/

When you order that unit ... you can add any tune you wish, but the Steeda tune that comes with the device (also comes with tunes for life) will definitely be great out of the box - you won't need to spend $$ on another tune. We can write multiple tunes for you based on your octane request - the most gains will be made from the 93 performance tune but you will still get some good power out of the lower octane tunes.

p.m. you now with forum pricing!

Best Regards,

TJ
