Edmunds.com has the 2011 Mustang V6 listed with an MSRP of $21,455 plus $825 destination for a total of $22,280. Volume Ford dealers are selling these cars for around invoice, so you should be able to buy one for $21k. This is an outstanding deal for a car with 305 horsepower.
I think it is very possible. From what I remember the MSRP from the '04 model to '05 model was only around $100 or so and that change was much more significant. They will probably increase the price a little bit every model year so it balances out like they did for 05-09.

If you really like the 94-98 style it is worth every penny to spend the extra cash on a 96-98 Cobra. Not only is the performance respectable for the money but the car is also much better looking than the GT.
I can say from experience of owning an early 2V 4.6 is that the car is probably the most trouble free, reliable car I've ever owned but is not much of a performance car.

I think my '00 Mustangs weights around ~3,000 lbs.
Also keep in mind Ford has to keep this car priced low since it has competition from Chevy and Dodge now. In '10 the Camaro was already pretty close in price with the Mustang. I seriously doubt that the Mustang will end up costing more than the Camaro. As much as I hate to admit it I'm glad the Camaro is back, it forced Ford to give us the best Mustang lineup in History!
why ya gotta be so grumpy?
Yeah they do. 300hp stock, and ive got a feeling thats underrated. I've seen those cobras running high 12s with nothing more than gears, shifter and tires
