Using Nav display for other things is it possible?

I have a 2014 GT with he built in Nav system. Is it possible to use the display for engine date? Custom display information like oil pressure temp?

I haven't seen the back of the nav unit, I take it it doesn't have any video out to run VIM cable.

The LockPick device allows connecting up to three additional video feeds (intended for front and two side cameras in addition to a factory rear camera) that display on the nav screen. I suppose that those inputs could be connected to any composite video signal (yellow RCA plug).

With the assumption that an extra video feed will solve your problem, there are also competing products by NavTV and PAC. Once you have your video source, use the one your stereo shop recommends. If you don't have a stereo shop, you'll have to compare them yourself. I'll tell you that the place I like uses NavTV. Something about the distributor support lacking from LockPick.

I am curious where the video would come from though.

With LockPick or a similar device, it'd be fairly simple to hook up a phone/tablet's display and then in turn hook the device up to a wireless tuner. Pointless? Probably. Novel? Certainly.
