USB Playlists?

Can anyone tell me what format should be used for playlists on a USB flash drive? I plugged in a flash drive that I have been using for some time in my other car but the Sync/Nav system says "invalid playlist format". It's the same M3U format I've also been using on my Sansa MP3 player for years.

Does the system not like folders? The entries in the playlist file are just file names in the format /foldername/filename.mp3 with each entry on a separate line.

I had issues trying to play mp3's from a flash drive also. It would play some songs, but not others.
I don't know if there is copyright protection in the Sync or what. When I transferred the same files to my Sansa player and connected to the Sync, it worked fine.

Mine plays the MP3 files fine, it just doesn't play them in any controllable order. It doesn't seem to like the playlist files on the flash drive.

I've only created one playlist and it worked for me. I use Media Monkey and it made an M3U playlist on the flash drive. Folders shouldn't be a problem.

I recommend just hooking your Sansa in and playing from there

I used MediaMonkey as well. Playlist didn't work at first, but I moved the playlists from the "Playlists" folder and put it in the roof folder, and then the playlists worked fine.
