Thx for all the nice comments guys. At first i wasn't so sure about that color, but now i'm totally infatuated with it. I like sober colors and sleeper cars.

Question.

Why do we need to clar and detail the car when we first get it? Isn't it in new and immaculate condition? Or is it in crap condition?

Do we need a detailing appointment after picking it up from the dealership?

Since the tire sizes and manufacturer are the same for 2010's Track Pack and 2011's Brembo package, it would seem they should be the same tire, unless the compounding was different between the two because of different suspension tuning.

Well, obviously that is why a dealer preps the car for you guys. But prepping doesn't go as far as waxing and throuly cleaning the car. They just pressure wash it and clean it with wash mit or soft bristle car brush. Your car will have been in an auto plant environment with all it's contaminents and stuff. Then it leaves the plant sitting outside for weeks, in some unfortunate cases months. So that makes for some more outside airborne contaminents. Obviously, you could leave it the way you pick it up at the dealership, but in all cases the paint needs a good wax cleaner job or clay bar treatment, and then a good coat or two of quality wax to protect it especially if the car will be sitting outside under those harmful UV rays.

Someone will have to chime in on this one , but i thing they used different compound tires on the 2011's.

The only info I have looked into on this is that the Track Pack has summer tires, whither or not they are the same Pirelli P-Zero's? I can't say. I do know that the wheels are not the same from the previous Track pack and more than likely are not the same tires as previous. The Brembo wheels are wider still.

What is a mystery to me is that there was a 3.73 package on the 2010, as well as a Track Pack. Weird. Looks like the 2011 incorporated these changes and more so it doesn't matter really!

On display at the dealer that got them for him. Dan can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe he may be waiting on the mods until after the car gets its government inspection. He has to wait a week or two for the forms to arrive by mail, and get the DRL's enabled before he can go for the inspection.

You should see the difference in MSRP for the GT500. Everything depends upon where the dollar is at on a given day. Montreal Ponies was able to convert his $$ when it was nearly at par weeks ago.

Shaun, calm down man , next week the car is going to the dealer for mods. I got the form and will be going for inspection prior to modding the car. All the parts are there. Also going for a window tint. Just waiting on my Steeda CAI with tune. I'll be posting pics for sure.

You better post them Dan. I'm getting creamed over here for not having decent pics of mine yet.

Dan, I'm glad to hear you got your form so fast. Did it say that the car was already cleared for the recall clearance letter?

Any luck with the DRL's? Please, please try to find out what the procedure is so we can post it in on the Internet.

Cell phone pics are unaccetpable here Chris. Especially when you get your BOSS. For that you better have a DSLR!

My cell phone doesn't take pics. I'm old school that way. I used my camera to take Montreal ponies road trip pics. Are those good enough for you?
