So go with a postitive displacement supercharger instead, my car has over 475 ft/lbs of torque on tap from about 2000-6000 rpm and over 500 ft/lbs from 3000 to 5000 rpm and while it has a slight displacement advantage compared to your 5.0 your 5.0 has better airflow, higher compression and a dynamic valvetrain which pound for pound of boost should allow it to better my car at every point in the rev range.

An unmodified TVS is a fairly quiet blower, especially in combination with a closed air box and unless you like to pull away from every light like its a full on drag race even my ported M122 with OD pulley and open element air filter is invisible in operation.

 

Op, check out my thread in the 5.0 mod section. Roush charger phase 2 is what I'm after...sticking with roush box tune at first, then maybe Dyno tune. The whine should still be there, but I would love to hear it. Lol. My borlas should still sing through tho.

 

A big single and buy yourself a $1000 commuter car...

 

blower... ( screw type ) or even a SC power adder, it requires less work than a Turbo kit, and less piping. Plus it will be alot cheaper...
