I traded in my supercharged '07 GT for an '11 GT and have zero regrets or problems with the new 5.0L.

You see a lot of threads about their problems. No one creates a post off by saying: "I have '12 GT with no problems.... that is all."

I haven't had issues with my 5.0.

Exactly. Just had this conversation with a co-worker. Search for problems on the internet and you WILL find them.

True - but the '11 did have problems.

Maybe... be sure and price in an extended warranty IMO.

I never like buying the first year because all the hitches aren't worked out yet.

For example the 05's had a number of bugs. But by the end of the S197 orig body style and 4.6L3V, my 08 Bullitt (Job 2) has been flawless from the factory. Not one issue.

No, it had an overblown problem with the transmission that was investigated by the NHTSA, closed and now the only time it's brought up is when people come on here and ask about "the problems."

Other than that, the only "problems" are a few minor TSBs, which every car has, and problems brought on by modding the car, like the burned up #8 cylinders from tunes early on.

That's it - if you trade up from your '08, you'll enjoy a lot more power, better gas mileage, a much-improved interior and Sync.
