Track times in my GT with a few new mods

In my GT, I've added a Bama 93 tune and a JLT CAI. Pretty happy with my gains of over 6/10ths of a second.

Previously I was consistently around 13.07 at this track. Yesterday my best time ran a 12.454

First run:
R/T: .641
60': 1.956
330': 5.346
1/8: 8.104
MPH: 89.45
1/4: 12.454
MPH 114.83

Second run:
First run:
R/T: .574
60': 1.951
330': 5.379
1/8: 8.153
MPH: 88.98
1/4: 12.522
MPH 114.57

Mods are JLT CAI, Bama 93 Tune and Nitto's.

Pretty happy with those times. I still only have the 3.15 gears. next up in a few weeks are 4.10 gears, Pypes catback and Pypes X-Pipe. That should get me right down near the 12 second mark. Find some ways to shed a few pounds and I'll try to get it down into the 11's this year.

I also ran that second run against an 11 or newer camaro. I didn't get to look at it too closely to see what model. But it definitely had to have mods of its own. It ran 12.397 at 117.70. I still consider mine a win though because I got a holeshot win on him and crossed the finish line first.

The only thing concerning me is that .07 drop on the second run. My third run wasn't that good of a launch so I'm throwing it out. But generally when I run, I'm consistent with time. My 60' was almost identical on both runs. So I'm not sure why the drop happened. I'm really hoping it was a change in humidity or something I did. Wanted 1 more run but it was busy and there was a break down on the track when I was 2 cars away from my next run...uggh....and then they announced a 20 minute clean up time and I saw the spill was in my lane. So I decided to bounce out of there.

We'll see how my bracket racing program is tonight. Please be consistent.

Good times. I miss being able to have access to an actual track. All the tracks in my area are crappy for 1/4 mile and we are so high up that times are significantly slower due to the air density. I'm in southern Germany pretty near (couple hours) from the Alps.

But I bet you have one hell of a good time on the autobahn! I miss being in Germany and can't wait to get back with my Stang so I can cruise the autobahn again.

Thanks Steve!

I'm very fortunate. I have 4 tracks all within a 45 minute drive of my home. And I'm in prime location for good times. Relatively low altitude and except for a few months in the summer, generally cool.

In other news, the car ran very consistent yesterday. No complaints at all. The tune and CAI are working excellent. The only time it wasn't consistent was when i was blowing the wheels off at the starting line. So my fears about Friday nights inconsistency are alleviated.

Very impressive! Those are some awesome gains for a CAI and Tune. Get some 4.10's and a Radial under there and you'll be in really good shape and easily headed for the 11's.

Keep up the great work and let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.
