Ticking at idle...

I have a 2013 gt that has recently (this week) started an interesting tick at idle... not sure what's up but it doesn't sound like it used to. making an appointment to see the dealer but was wondering if anybody has had something like this?

I have the same tick and never thought of it being out of ordinary....let me know what the dealer says however.

It seems like a lot of folks have this same tic. Must be normal.

I had "the tick" that I noticed after the first oil change. Bought it to the dealer and he said it was the injector firing. Idk if that's right or not but at least it's documented.

The engine does tick in normal operation. That being said there are also bad ticks, like if you floated a valve. If you are concerned, take it in to your dealer.

The ticking you hear on ALL 5.0s is the Ti-VCT system. Its perfectly normal, just like the whine of a supercharger.

Most likely if the car ticks at Idle after sitting it is the air injection solenoid. It is located right on top of the motor under the cover. It is part of the pollution control system. Ask me how I know

Mine was intermittent and driving me nuts............. After 2 dealerships and Ford regional manager intervention they finally got to the bottom of it. They proved it to me by making it happen at will.......... Here is a video to what my car sounded like

Hi guys,

I recommend you get them checked out at your dealer and make sure there’s nothing else going on. Then PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate it to the customer service manager if needed.

I can't see the videos from this computer but it sure seems like the same issue I have on my '11 with 17,000 miles...has been happening for a while.

I brought my car to the dealership to have it checked out and of course, it stopped.
