Probably from the Gt500. It uses some aerospace tech where molten metal is sprayed in the bore instead of a pressed in sleeve.

The GM boys are probably feeling threatened since they are no longer number one.

There's only so many things you can do with a steering wheel since the advent of airbags. That said, I think they did a nice job on the latest Mustang steering wheels making them not look like they are about to burst open and eat the driver.

I'm pretty sure the C5 did share a steering wheel with other GM cars though. Pontiacs, I believe.

Very impressive and better than some of the 4 cylinder competition. Did anyone notice the comments at the bottom of the article? It looks like over half of the posts just bashed the car. What does the IRS topic have to do with this headline? I don't get people sometimes.

However, it is more of a teen & female car then its competitors the awesome Challenger & Camaro.
Y'know this seems to be a GM nutswinger staple. I swear it got its start when "Ol' Shel" said he took a secretary's car and made it into a sports car (to paraphrase), but has been taken out of context with the brand-X guys over the years.

IRS adds inches to the E-*****. I especially get a chuckle when its combined with the ever so trite "real world".

some of those guys at Camaro5 are something else. The mods in particular really dont even want to see a Mustang topic. For whatever reason, they just cant get past how Ford in general has gained so much so quick in so many segments. Its sour grapes for them. Its only going to get worse for them Im afraid. I have owned many Gm vehicles and I know what they are all about. Never had a Camaro but they are all about the same generally speaking.
