Thanks to Hypermotive for the Kooks

Big thank you to all the guys from Hypermotive for all the help for like the last year. I have been asking them questions about different set ups that I have been thinking about and haven't bought anything from them until just a few weeks ago. They have been really helpful and the video that they posted on YouTube with the Kooks axle backs and an H pipe sold me the first couple of seconds into the video.

After I had saved some money for mods I contacted Hypermotive to get my discount code, which is awesome by the way, and headed straight over the the website to see what kinds of combos I could make with the money that I had saved. This lasted about a week of pulling my hair out and then I finally decided to just get the Kooks axle backs from them and save the rest for my trip to Italy this summer for our 20th anniversary this year.

Just after I ordered I received a message on Facebook from them thanking me for my order and letting me know that there was a problem however. Literally less than a minute after ordering. Apparently since I was shipping to my APO here in Germany there was a slight problem because of the weight of the mufflers. They suggested that I register for a website that caters to military and gov't employees that are overseas and need to ship heavier and larger items that you can't do through most companies. They told me that the shipping would be cheap for them to get the mufflers to the service and then it would be less than usual to have the service mail them to my APO. I did as they suggested and once I gave my info to them I was again surprised at the quick response from them. Less than an hour later I received a shipping notice. A day later I received a notice from the service and 5 short days later I received my new mufflers in the mail here in Germany!

Thanks again for the awesome customer service and great mufflers. All my neighbors thank you at 5AM when I cold start my car when heading to work. I will be spending some more loot with this great company run by very professional people. Hopefully this summer I will meet up with another Hypermotive car and hit some laps at the Nurburgring.

lol, I have the kooks cat back on the Boss right now! I have an extra set of kooks headers and off road h pipe sitting at my place as well, along with a few other misc items

Its stressful being here but I have some great guys in Dan and Josh. We just hired Dan full time now that he's out of the Air Force, we picked up our own tuner as well. Once we have the shop built in Aug/ Sep time frame we'll be looking for a couple full time mechanics Its hard to believe how fast we've grown but we have been super fortunate to have amazing customer's.

Thanks again Steve for the kind words my friend Shipping isn't always that fast but the approach of transparency we try to give everyone has helped out a lot as well.

Thanks again guys, truly

Steve... that's great to hear. Sounds very similar to mine. I think you chimed in on my thread too similar to yours, right? But yes, their pricing paired with their customer service and quick responsiveness, I think is unmatched in the industry today.

You and I know, there's a few vendors on here, especially, that could really learn a thing or two from Jay/Dan.

p.s. where's the vid of the Kooks from Hypermotive? I'd like to see that...

Do tell. I could use that H pipe and a tune. I might have to come visit. Are you planning on trying to make it over tomorrow? I can PM you the cell if you want it.

Congrats on the new Shop, and continued success.

Kooks owners - how do you like them. They sound great on video, nice low throaty sound. Are you experiencing any drone? I've read some have a little (Not sure what their setups are.), and others say they have none.

I have a little drone but only going up hill in 6th at around 1200-1800 RPM other than that they are glorious. Just cruising when it's flat in that range is just fine. Deceleration is music. I can't wait to delete the resonators and get an H Pipe and tune.

Can't come today brother as I'm at work for a bit Take some pics!

That video is of Doug Pott's car, a good buddy of mine.

Steve, the H pipe needs to be used with the headers. The MRT that Doug is running is fantastic and the quality is second to none. I took a visit to their shop a few years ago and watched them build a few sets, I was sold.

The drone is minimal, I have none but again I have the cat-back. They sound great as well and the tone of these are so, so nice!

I wish I could boost my car. All in good time. I'm taking a road trip through Italy this summer for a week. That ate up my mod budget for the year pretty much. Next year I have big plans though. Sheesh.....you are only married for 20 years to your High School sweetheart one time.

Nothing wrong with that Steve… Bless your heart, in fact. Ten years ago I gave up my twin turbo RX7 for my wife when we bought our first house. So I kind of know what you're going through.
