sorry to hear about the clutch sticking..
look under your dash if you have 2 springs on the clutch pedal .. "supposeldy" you can remove the one on the armeture and leave the other on the pivot point it increases your pedal pressure, but gets rid of the pedal sticking to the floor issue

Thats too bad. Hopefully it gets worked out soon. As for the numbers you have its moving really well all things considered. I pulled a 13.0@110mph last night with just a tire change. Still need more seat time. Good luck.

The clutch issue is not temperature related. do a search on this forum and you will learn what's up.

Yeah, there's a couple of good write-up's on the issue. The earlier build 5.0's have a really silly design for the pedal springs. The ones coming out of the factory post-mid-May 2010 have a hybrid of sorts, half early 5.0 design, half GT500 design, and it fixed the problem.

I have a general understanding of the issue at hand. I'm still waiting for a true fix from the dealer

My car has the updated pedal design with the 2 springs... So it has most definitely not fixed the problem

My understanding is there is a problem in the design of the pressure plate. The problem is exacerbated by the old pedal design

Here is one crappy cell phone video of my run against my friends 455RWHP cobra. If my caqr would have shifted right and I wasnt sleeping at the tree, I might have had him

I went to the track yesterday and experienced the same clutch issue. On two of my runs the clutch pedal stuck to the floor forcing me to cancel the run. Once on the 3-4 shift and again on a 1-2 shift.

Every run I experienced a slight lag where the clutch pedal would hang on the floor before coming back up. I was not comfortable trying to powershift, especially with the clutch pedal return lag, and I know it cost me some time as I was essentially granny shifting the thing.

I also was fighting traction issues and wheel hop all day long. Dropped the rears down to 26 lbs for the best results, but even then I could only muster a 2.03 60'. Spun/hopped through a lot of 2nd. Best ET was a 13.21 @ 108 on a 2.03 60'. Best MPH on the day was 109.71.

The clutch pedal return is a little disconcerting. I know if I cure the wheel hop and can powershift 2-3/3-4 I can get this car into the 12s on a 1.9x 60' for sure. I've had the car less than two weeks so I'm still learning it, but I know I can do better than this. Overall I'm a little disappointed, but I'll try again soon. I'm not doing any power mods until I can get it into the 12s.

I had ZERO wheel hop. You should invest in a set of LCA's. I am using BMR's kit. Great quality at a great price

I am pretty sure I'm going to order a pair this weekend. I was looking at Steeda's a few minutes ago but I'll have to check out the BMRs as well.

Honestly, they all perform the same. I like the BMW was they are only $135 shipped and have greasable fittings to keep everything lubed nice

Next, I would invest in some drag radials. They make a worlds difference

I'm sure I will get a pair of DRs eventually, but I'm really trying to get it done on the stock Pirellis. If I can get rid of the wheel hop and sort out the clutch issues I'm there.

My clutch was replaced at 4500 miles because the pressure plate bolts backed out and it caused havoc. but the new clutch still has the sticking problem.

At least the clutch grabs strong, no sign of slippage

My dealer wants me to bring my car in, they want to bleed the clutch and check a few things out

Did your dealership end up doing anything for your clutch? My car has 1600 miles on it and it stuck to the floor yesterday shifting out of third. Ive been searching the forums for the cause of the issue during breaks at work today but havent found a lot out yet. I want to add a couple parts to my car before autocrossing it but want to figure out this clutch issue first so Ford doesnt claim its my fault from racing and aftermarket parts.
